Housing Starts are predicted to hit 3-Year High

A recent article in Daily Real Estate News has predicted that housing starts will probably reach a three-year high of 739,000 in 2011. The article further states that this change may create about 500,000 jobs and help trim the unemployment rate.

Chief economist for the National Association of Home Builders, David Crowe, stated in an interview with Bloomberg that “we need job creation to get people comfortable with buying a home, if they do that, we will create jobs that will reinforce that home buying and fuel additional job growth”.

In our local area, it has been reported that sales in the Hilton Head area rebounded in 2010 with almost a 21% increase over 2009, and higher than any of the last four years. Since mortgage rates are still at historic lows, Beaufort County, home to Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and Beaufort, is the one of the hottest markets in South Carolina with sales of homes and condos up 19.2% in 2010.

The textile wallcovering in the dining room adds a modern twist to this otherwise more traditional design. The reeded paneling is sooo good!
Pattern and texture are a huge part of our design for this project. We think it’s a perfect spot for intimate family dinners or social get togethers!
